An Irish bar worker suffered injuries to her hand after a man who was asked to leave returned with a knife and threatened staff.
The woman suffered a deep wound after the man came back and slashed the knife across her hand as she tried to calm him down at The Harp in Co. Cork at around 8.40pm on Monday.
The incident "marred what was a great day up to it" according to owner Conor McLaughlin, who said she's left shaken by the incident, Cork Beo reports.
He said the bar had been celebrating a great reopening and the "place was buzzing" up to the point - but by 9.30pm they were closed once again as armed gardai attended the scene and a man was arrested.
A garda spokesman said he's since been released and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
He said: "Gardaí attended a public order incident that occurred on Pouladuff Road, Cork City at approximately 8:40pm last night, Monday, the 7th of June 2021.
"One male was arrested in relation to this incident and has since been released without charge pending file to the DPP."
