Opening date revealed for new Burger King in Newcastle and 500 burgers will be given away

There's been quite a bit of excitement since the announcement was made that Newcastle is getting a new Burger King and it will soon be time for it to open its doors.

On Wednesday, May 22, Newcastle will become the latest home of the Whopper, with a brand-new Burger King restaurant opening its doors on Clayton Street.

To share the excitement with hungry locals who want to eat like the King himself, 500 free Whoppers are up for grabs during its opening week.

For customers to claim one, they just have to look out for Burger King team members who will be handing out sought-after vouchers around town once doors open.

Then they simply download the BK app, scan the QR code and hot-foot it into the new restaurant with the voucher and app for their free Whopper.

And while they’re there, why not check out the range of flame grilled burgers, crispy and tender chicken, snack options including chilli cheese bites and sweet treats like the Oreo milkshake.

Not to forget a range of breakfasts, such as the Coffee and butty deal for £1.99!

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO Burger King UK, explained: We know Geordies love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we’ve listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.

"Our home – of the Whopper! – is their home.”
