Opening date for new restaurant from owners of Duke Street Market and Salt Dog Slims

An opening date has been confirmed for a new luxury dining venue on Liverpool's Old Hall Street.

Nord is set to open to the public on Thursday, March 23. Bookings are now being accepted via the restaurant's website.

Located in The Plaza building, Nord will offer relaxed dining, with a focus on ingredients from regional producers and a menu celebrating Northern heritage. Situated on the ground floor of The Plaza, Nord will combine retro colour palettes and textures in a venue boasting a centrepiece bar and luxurious banquette seating.

The restaurant will be led by the award-winning independent hospitality group GSG. Hospitality and Liverpool chef, Daniel Heffy. GSG. Hospitality also own a host of other Liverpool venues including Bold Street Coffee, Salt Dog Slims and Duke Street Food and Drink Market.

Daniel's career so far has seen him enjoy success across the Liverpool food scene, having founded the Secret Diners Club before going on to become head chef at Buyers Club. He moved to Stockholm in 2017, where he gained experience in Michelin star restaurants.

Daniel said: "I'm incredibly excited to be partnering with GSG. Hospitality on what is set to be an incredible new dining concept for Liverpool. For me, Nord is a destination restaurant looking to bring a new, high quality food experience with professional, relaxed service to the city, focusing on mainly British ingredients but also taking influences from my experience in Stockholm."

He's bringing back a wealth of experience from working in one of the highest rated, iconic Michelin star restaurants in the world, which is a huge win for the city.

It will offer a sense of warmth and welcome guests with open arms through excellent service, alongside offering a menu that features accessible, yet high quality food with local produce running through its narrative.
