Aldi has confirmed the opening date for its new Top Valley store.
The store will open in Hucknall Road, near the Bulwell Forest Recreation Ground, on Thursday, July 16 at 8am.
Run by store manager, Lisa Jones, a total of 32 new jobs have been created at the branch,
Ms Jones said: “We’re really looking forward to opening the new Aldi store here in Top Valley. It’s set to be a great day as we’ll be celebrating the opening of Aldi’s sixth store in the area, where we can provide the local community access to affordable, high-quality food.
“It’ll be lovely to welcome local customers into the new store and provide them with Aldi’s everyday amazing products. The team and I are looking forward to meeting our new customers in store from July 16.”
It comes after the supermarket chain outlined plans to open a further 13 new stores across Nottinghamshire as part of its expansion drive.
Aldi wants to open new stores in Beeston, Bilborough, Giltbrook/Eastwood, Lenton, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Southwell.
The retailer also has plans for branches in Thorneywood, Toton, West Bridgford, Wollaton, Market Warsop, Retford and Ollerton.
The new Aldi store in Top Valley is calling on local charities and food banks in Bulwell to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community.
Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, up to five days a week.
