Opening date announced for new Beeston bar, kitchen and arcade

The much anticipated Beeston Social will be opening its doors later this month. The new bar, kitchen and arcade comes from the creative team behind some of Nottingham's most unique venues including Penny Lane, The Hockley Arts Club and The Blind Rabbit.

They have combined all the best elements from the city centre bars and put them into The Beeston Social, based underneath Arc Cinema at the new £50m Beeston Square complex. The venue will open on Saturday June 25 at 8am and will be serving everything from pastries and cake right through to late-night cocktails.

Food will include brunch specials to burgers, pizzas and tapas-style small plates. The arcade games that have proved so popular at Penny Lane will be a feature.

The owners described it as boasting a "beautiful mid-century-British inspired design throughout, with plant-life and colour everywhere you look, all complemented by flashes of neon and bold industrial features." The decor also includes a whole wall dedicated to Polaroid photos and posters of eager customers who can't wait for it to open. They are the Facebook profile photos of people who responded to an appeal for likes.
