There's an abundance of high-profile music events in the offing – this weekend our writers will be heading to Womad and Camp Bestival, and will be blogging their fingers to the bone. It's also, in case you've not been informed, the opening ceremony of the Olympics later this week, which our critics will be watching like hawks, and on top of all that we'll also be reviewing gigs by artists including Angie Stone, Arthur Beatrice, Micachu and the Shapes, We Are Scientists and Savages. Two Door Cinema Club will be popping into the Guardian studios for a How We Wrote session – excitingly, a worldwide exclusive from their new album. This weekend we'll be featuring interviews with Lee "Scratch" Perry and Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips.
