Open House Dublin 2022 to see capital's most iconic buildings available to public for one weekend

Some of capital's most iconic buildings are set to open this weekend as part of Open House Dublin 2022.

The event which runs this Friday, October 14 through to Sunday, October 16 will see some of Dublin's greatest architectural buildings opened to the public. Over the three days there will be over 150 tours and exhibitions it's perfect for those looking to learn more about the city's great history.

Also on offer by Dublin City Council will be a walking tour delivered by DCC’s City Architect’s Public Realm Team on how it contributes to climate action. In addition to in-person events, there are a number of site specific films available online. They include:

Dublin City Architect Ali Grehan said: “Dublin City Council is delighted to be a main supporter of the IAF’s annual Open House Dublin and show our work to the general public. Dublin’s architecture and built environment – old and new - is a vital part of our identity and builds our social, environmental and economic resilience.

"This year we’re including examples of important new public housing projects delivered directly by DCC. We’re also connecting the work of DCC’s public realm team to climate action and showing our ongoing conservation work on well-loved heritage buildings. We hope Open House participants enjoy the experience and we welcome feedback.”
