Open-air food, drink and music festival is on its way to Nottinghamshire this weekend

An open-air European style piazza is coming to Chilwell this weekend - just in time for a weekend that's predicted to be an absolute scorcher.

The grounds of former Barton's bus depot, now known as The Garage, will become the venue for the Street Food Smoke-Up Summer Special.

There will be live music, world street food and local beers on Saturday, June 29 at the pop-up piazza, off High Road.

Revellers will find craft beers from local breweries Black Iris, Thornbridge, Brewster's, Totally Brewed, Magpie and Welbeck Abbey, plus artisan gins, sangria and Pimm's.

When the munchies strike, check out street food vendors who will be selling Neapolitan style pizzas, Italian arancini, hot dogs, burgers, burritos, poutine, halloumi fries and loaded Belgium waffles.

Live music from acoustic artist Mitch Colcombe kicks off at 4pm and Americana duo Trent Delta will be performing from 6.30pm.

Admission is free. Doors open at 3pm.

James Barton, one of the organisers said: "Head to The Garage to take advantage of the stunning weather set to make its way over from the continent this weekend for a festival of food and drink."
