Claremont Farm will open its season with the much-loved musical sensation Grease on Friday July 21, swapping the sights and sounds of Rydell High for the great outdoors. Other family-friendly films being shown over the summer including The Goonies and Matilda the Musical.

Along with Everything Everywhere All at Once there is also a chance to watch Top Gun Maverick and music biopics Elvis and I Wanna Dance With Somebody. The programme also features a host of classic box office hits marking special anniversaries, including Spice World the Movie and The Big Lebowski (both 25 years old), Jurassic Park (30 years old) and the Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck romantic comedy Roman Holiday which is 70 this year.

All the films are shown on a giant 30ft airscreen, with drinks and food will be available at each location. Nicky Beaumont, Film and digital programme manager at Storyhouse, said: “Moonlight Flicks has become as much a part of summer as strawberries and cream, seaside holidays and of course our own open-air theatre.

“I’m really excited about the programme we have for film fans this summer; it really is something for all tastes, from family favourites to movie musicals, rom coms to action adventures, and indie hits to Oscar winners. We know how much every penny in your purse and pocket counts at the moment, so we have also frozen prices at 2022 levels to make sure as many film fans as possible can continue to enjoy the unique Moonlight Flicks experience.”
