Open air cinema coming to Aintree racecourse in summer showing Lion King and Rocky Horror Picture Show

An outdoor cinema will takeover Aintree Racecourse this summer, offering a unique experience under the stars.

Adventure Cinema will be hosting two screenings in Liverpool, along with others across the country including Bristol, Wrexham, Norwich, Leeds and more.

The screenings confirmed for Aintree Racecourse this summer include The Rocky Horror Picture Show on August 14, and Disney’s The Lion King (2019) on August 16.

Screenings will be held in the Red Rum Garden at the racecourse and there will be food stalls, snack vendors and a bar available throughout, with gates opening from 7pm.

Films are expected to begin after sunset and the events are set to go ahead even if it rains.

Guests with standard tickets can bring along a blanket or camping chair to enjoy the show.

Those who buy VIP tickets will get a luxury deck chair and a ‘prime location’.

To book, visit www.adventurecinema.co.uk or go to www.eventbrite.co.uk.

Tickets start from £10.50 for under 16s and £15.50 for adults, while VIP tickets start at £21.50.
