But Chesney was won over when Ruby and Joseph started enjoying the new gadgets.
He apologised to Gemma, who threw down her chips and started snogging her fella in the middle of the street.
In the next scene, the pair were seen on the sofa - seemingly naked - under a blanket.
Gemma had a massive grin on her face, while Chesney had a lipstick mark on his bare chest.

What they'd been up to is anyone's guess.
Gemma told Chesney he didn't want to break up. She apologised for annoying him.
"A load of the time it feels wrong but deep down I know that you get me," Ches said.

The couple both promised to adapt and Gemma promised to get a new washing machine.
Chesney's eyes lit up when she said she would get the extended warranty, including 'parts and labour'.
Gemma stroked Chezza's face then pulled him towards her.

Presumably, they went and had a brew.
Most Corrie fans had a good old laugh about it.
