The weather may be getting warmer, but Oodies are still well and truly the loungewear essential everyone wants to get their hands on. And for a limited time, there’s a way to get one for free.
The oversized hoodie blankets from the Australian company aren’t the cheapest to buy, averaging at £89, so shoppers are always on the lookout for ways to get them cheaper.
And as the viral brand celebrates their fifth birthday, they’ve launched their ‘biggest’ ever sale and are giving away Oodies in a buy one get one free deal.
Shoppers who purchase an adult Oodie for a cost of £89 will receive a mystery design free of charge, saving customers nearly £90. They will be able to choose their first design from popular patterns like pizza and koala, with a choice of mystery Oodie one, two or three to receive alongside it.
Customers won’t know which second design they’ll be sent - but that’s all part of the fun, and is particularly good if you simply can’t decide on a print.
However, if you are particularly fussy and do want to choose a second Oodie, there’s the option to purchase a twin pack for £99, where you can pick both designs, essentially making the second Oodie £10.
For those who have never heard of the Oodie, they are an oversized hoodie blanket made with ultra-soft flannel fleece and warm sherpa. People dubbed them a ‘godsend’ over the winter months as they aimed to save money on bills while staying warm.
They’re said to be far more superior than cheaper alternatives due to being thicker and longer, which we found to be true when we compared them to Primark’s dupe.
The wearable blankets have racked up 3,800 five star reviews on the Oodie website, with shoppers snapping them up for the whole family. One wrote: “These are just simply the best and most comfortable ever. Big fan of the Oodie have bought for all my family including the dog!”
Another added: “Nothing else compares, you get what you pay for and I have two oodies now and likely there will be more. They are warm, snuggly and sooo comfy, they wash really well and the quality is second to none.”
