Only true geniuses can spot mistake in tranquil tree scene in less than six seconds

Optical illusions are essentially clever riddles that make you think outside the box and test your intelligence.

It's a great way to put your mind to work by allowing it to focus on something very specific.

People have recently been left dumbfounded by a newly surfaced brainteaser that allegedly only true geniuses can solve, the Daily Star reports.

The new puzzle sees people searching for a hidden mistake within a picture of a tree. While it seems relatively simple to solve, people have less than six seconds to find it.

Many people were keen to try and spot the mistake within the artwork, published on Jagran Josh, which displays various coloured pears growing on the tree.

While there are several pears that can be seen rather easily, there are some that are not so easy to spot as they are hidden behind the leaves.

And somewhere within the image - there's also an error within the picture that's quite tricky to find.

You have six seconds to find the error, but if you're struggling then the answer has been explained below.

If you're struggling then try focusing on the bottom half of the picture first.

Keep your eyes on it long enough then you should be able to see an odd object hidden within the leaves.
