Only those with razor-sharp focus can spot the cat with no tail in tricky illusion

Calling all cat lovers: a new brain teaser has been released that will have you staring at rows of felines trying to search for the one moggy with no tail.

Brain teasers and optical illusions are a great way of helping to improve the brain's ability to perceive and interpret visual information accurately, and with a little practice, you could train your brain to crack difficult puzzles in no time.

In this new puzzle, you must find the odd one out as fast as you can, by tracking down the one cat in this image that doesn't have a tail.

The teaser might look easy at first, as the cartoon cats all have their backs turned so their tails should be visible - but you'll notice that some felines have tails that match perfectly with the pattern on their fur.

Can you find the odd one out?

If you're struggling, here's a hint: the cat you're looking for is near the top of the picture, and you won't find it on the left-hand side of the image.

Got it now? Don't worry if you haven't, you can scroll down to see where the tailless cat was in the picture below.

The brain teaser was created by Cats.com, which curates resources for cat loves and owners, such as cat product reviews, and guides on cat health issues written by vets.

Alongside this puzzle, the website also shared four other optical illusions and brain teasers, including one which asks you to find the seven cats hiding in a garden, and another tricky odd-one-out puzzle in which you have to find the cat with blue eyes.

While if you'd like to try your hand at some more of our puzzles, why not see if you can locate the snake hidden among these watermelons? If you do it within six seconds, you might be a genius.

And if you fancy a different kind of puzzle, this one makes you think about how we perceive images, as you need to count how many eggs are in the picture.
