Only one Raider makes CBS Sports list of top-100 players for 2019 season

Over the offseason, the Oakland Raiders ton of talent to essential positions, such as wide receiver, offensive tackle, cornerback and safety. But despite all of the upgrades and draft picks the Raiders made, not everyone is convinced the team has much top-tier talent.

In a recent article by Jared Dubin of CBS Sports, he listed the top-100 players heading into the 2019 season. Unfortunately for the Raiders, just one player appeared on the list; Antonio Brown. Take a look at what Dublin had to stay about the Raiders’ new No. 1 receiver:

39. Antonio Brown, WR, Raiders
All Brown did in 2018 was record his sixth consecutive season with at least 101 catches, 1,284 yards, and eight touchdowns. Nobody else in NFL history has more than four such seasons, and only eight other players have two or more. And those are Brown’s *worst* figures in each category over the past six years. He averaged a 114-1,524-11 line during that time. Even with a new team, he should still be incredibly tough to stop.

Brown should have no problem putting up big numbers in Oakland, but it’s the rest of the team that should be concerning. If the Raiders want to compete in 2019, they are going to need career years from multiple players, including Derek Carr, Trent Brown, Maurice Hurst and Gareon Conley. If that can happen, don’t be surprised if the Raiders flirt with a playoff appearance for the first time since 2016.
