Iranian-born Adelaide-based artist Nasim Nasr presents her first solo exhibition in Sydney. Through photography, video and sculptural work, Only For My Shadow addresses issues of censorship, identity and social unrest.

The exhibition includes a selection of Nasr’s previous works which look at the complexity of identity within the global context. These works explore Nasr’s personal journey between past and present homelands. A new video work, Unrest, will also be on display. It focuses on a passage from 20th century Persian author Sedagh Hedayat’s seminal text.
