Only eagle-eyed people can spot the owl lurking in the bushes within five seconds

If you're looking for a way to train your brain then optical illusions and hidden object puzzles are great ways to do it, as you'll need keen eyesight and a healthy mind to spot the odd details in a matter of seconds.

And in this deviously tricky hidden object puzzle, players must find the owl lurking among the leafy green bushes and trees in just five seconds in order to win the right to claim they really do have the eyes of a hawk.

At first glance, the picture - which was taken by graphic designer and photographer Ingo Gerlach - appears to simply be a snapshot of a lush landscape full of green bushes and a single tree standing slightly off-centre.

But for the eagle-eyed people among us will be able to spot an intruder in the picture, as there's actually a milky eagle owl that's perfectly camouflaged somewhere in the snap.

Photographer Ingo, from Betzdorf, Germany, captured the picture while visiting the Masai Mara in Kenya, and said he had no intention of snapping the bird - and he didn't even know it was there himself at first.

He said: "It took me about 12 minutes to spot the fact there's an owl up the tree. My driver spotted it. It was almost impossible for me to discover the eagle owl."

If you still haven't found the owl lurking in the picture, here's a hint - take a closer look at the lone tree standing at the front of the image, and you might be able to spot the feathered animal.

Once you've found it, you can have a go at some other hidden object puzzles we've brought your way recently, such as this one that asks you to find a panda among the humans, or this one that involves wolves in a group of raccoons.

Meanwhile, in the world of optical illusions, a woman recently blew people's minds after sharing a video that seems to show a black crested gibbon morphing into a young boy in the "world's fastest evolution".

The tourist's clip follows the animal as it swings its arms and playfully hops onto a rock close to the window where she was filming, but as the camera pans across to continue following the primate, it appears to "transform" into a young man wearing a black jacket and a face mask.

As the man turns to look at the woman filming him, the footage ends.
