Online shopper's horror after receiving 'period-stained' swimsuit

A 'disgusted' online shopper claims she was sent a 'period stained' swimming costume.

Amber O'Dea, from Bournemouth, had ordered the £15 Lime Green One Shoulder Swimsuit from I Saw It First but was horrified when it arrived with questionable marks on it.

Amber, 35, said she was "mortified" to find the hygiene sticker had been removed and the garment was covered in "period/discharge".

She shared a video on Twitter of her examining the crotch on her neon green bathing suit which still has its tags attached.

As she turns the garment over, a brown stain is clearly visible along the centre of the crotch.

Cake-maker Amber can be heard groaning with disgust in the background as she zooms in on the revolting stain.

She shared the footage with the caption: "I have just received my package in the post opened the sealed bag to find this!

"No hygiene sticker and what looks like someone's period/discharge stained in to the crotch!!!! Please help! This is absolutely disgusting I don't understand how this can happen?!"

After receiving no reply she followed up the post with another photo of the dirty garment captioned "Do you not have a care team that checks returns or checks the quality of the items you are sending??

"This is my first experience with you and I'm mortified! Thank god I checked before putting on."

Twitter users reacted with disgust to her posts.

James Emmett wrote: "Grim. @isawitfirst better come back with something good as a response."

Chelsea Croft added: "Oh my god this is awful! I hope they respond to you and rectify this."

And Katie Hill said: "Oh god this is disgusting!".

Amber said I Saw it First have offered have offered her a refund, but she says this is not enough compensation for the "deeply disturbing experience."

In her complaint, she blasted the retailer for sending her an "unsafe, unhygienic" product that left her "feeling physically sick".

She confirmed she would no longer be shopping with the retailer.

Speaking today, she said: "I'm unhappy with I Saw it First's response, but I gave up on the complaint in the end."

I Saw it First have responded to Amber on Twitter to ask her to get in touch.

Mirror Online has contacted the company for comment.
