Online accountancy training provider wows with awards as pandemic career pivots embraced

Success is the sum total of the effort put in for accountancy distance learning provider Premier Training as recognition was received at four separate awards ceremonies.

The South Killingholme team is closing in on a quarter of a century of provision, and the 23rd year is proving to be one to remember.

In unprecedented circumstances it has seen an influx of people looking to step into new careers, with online learning suited to lockdown situations.

Operations director Rose Crockett said the accolades recognise the hard work of the Premier Training team.

“We are so delighted with these awards,” she said.“It has been a challenging year for our staff and students, so it’s fantastic to be recognised in this manner.

“We have built a strong reputation, nationally and overseas, for our friendly approach and emphasis on providing unrivalled support and guidance.

First came the innovation accolade at the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards, followed by Best in Accountancy Courses and Training at the SME News Business Elite Awards 2021, then the title of Most Trusted Accounting & Bookkeeping Training Provider UK at the Corporate Vision Education and Training Awards.

Premier student Demel Johnson was also named Distance Learning Student of the Year at the PQ Magazine Awards where the training provider was also shortlisted in three other categories.

“Our AAT distance learning accountancy courses have helped hundreds of people step into new careers over the last 12 months, Rose continued. “Many of our staff have worked from home for more than a year, but our service and support for existing and new students has remained unaffected. That’s testament to the Premier Training team, who fully deserve this recognition.”

The local accolade brought recognition for the in-house app, Premier Pal, downloaded by more than 3,000 accounting and bookkeeping students worldwide.
