'Ongoing incident' in Glasgow as emergency service in attendance near River Clyde

Emergency services are currently dealing with an "ongoing" incident in Glasgow.

Police were called near Kingston Place, Dalmarnock, close to the River Clyde, around 6.25am this morning and remain in attendance.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are not yet known.

Officers say there is no risk or concern to the wider public but there is an increased police presence in the area.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 6.25am on Monday, 5 July, 2021 in connection with an ongoing incident near Kingston Place, Glasgow.

"There is an increased police presence in the area but there is no risk or concern to the wider public.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
