OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder calls out 'insane' treatment at Heathrow Airport in furious rant

OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has called out the security at Heathrow Airport after getting his bags searched.

The musician, 46, blasted the “insanity” at the UK’s largest transport hub, calling it the “single worst airport” in the world and claiming he always gets searched when he travels through there.

The pop singer, who has written hit songs for stars like Adele and Miley Cyrus, urged the staff to “do better” as he shared a furious rant to his Instagram Story.

The Apologise singer posted a photo of the arrivals lounge at the London venue and wrote: "Been flying through Heathrow since I was 16.

“London might arguably be the greatest city on Earth and yet Heathrow every time reaffirms as the single worst airport of any city on Earth.

"Why is this?? It can't handle the volume of travellers and the security lines and protocol is simply insanity.”

Tedder went on: "In 30 years of flying it is the ONLY airport that has pulled my bags every single time... and seemingly everyone elses.

"And yet they hire 1/10th of the staff it would require to handle the insane security protocol they insist on maintaining.

"HIRE MORE STAFF! DO BETTER! Pretend you represent the greatest city on Earth."

Tedder, who has written ballads like Halo for Beyonce, Rumour Has It for Adele and Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis, has also enjoyed chart success with his own band OneRepublic, which has created tunes like Counting Stars and Secrets.
