#OnePride Twitter reacts to the Lions picking T.J. Hockenson

With the 8th pick of the 2019 draft, the Detroit Lions took Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson. I personally was OK with this pick but Lions twitter didn’t always agree.

Mystified by the Hockenson backlash. This has been the likely pick for ages, and much less redundant/dumb/whatever than the Jonah Williams pick dominating recent mocks.

Martha Ford needs to re-evaluate her hiring of Bob Quinn. Hockenson has to be another Zach Ertz for being an 8th overall pick. @Lions need playmakers & difference makers and a TE is not that player at #8! Quinn tried to the smartest guy in 5he room and wasted another 1st Rd pick!

So, another 1st round is in the books.  Who knows how it’ll turn out, but if we ask Twitter, it’s not going to end well.

I say, let’s pump the brakes, and get to the preseason first.
