OnePlus teases new smartphone with 'invisible' camera and colour-shifting glass

It’s known for its exceptional smartphones , and now it seems that OnePlus is getting ready to unveil its most futuristic handset yet.

The tech giant has revealed that it will unveil a new smartphone dubbed the OnePlus Concept One at the CES technology conference next week.

It tweeted a teaser video for the smartphone, explaining that the device will have at least two impressive new features.

OnePlus said: “We’re bringing the #OnePlusConceptOne to #CES2020, but you don’t have to wait: you can get a sneak peek at it right here, along with its groundbreaking “invisible camera” and colour-shifting glass technology.”

The accompanying video show that the back of the smartphone will feature a small screen in place of the camera lenses.

The rear lenses and the camera flash appear to be hidden beneath this screen, appearing when the user is ready to take a photo.

While further details remain unclear, thankfully there’s not long to win to find out more.

OnePlus will reveal the smartphone at the CES technology conference in Las Vegas, which runs from January 7-10.

The name for the smartphone suggests that it’s unlikely to go on sale any time soon, although OnePlus may surprise us all - watch this space!
