One-third of Brits postpone buying Christmas presents until the last minute

A new study by Argos found nearly 19 million Brits leave buying Christmas presents until the very last days before Christmas Eve.

When it comes to Christmas presents, women are more organised than their male counterparts - 10 per cent more men go Christmas shopping last minute.

And 45 per cent of them come up with the same excuse, saying work commitments prevent them from being more organised when the holidays come.

Scots are some of the worst panic-buyers in Britain as two in five of them are guilty of last-minute Christmas shopping.

Forty per cent of Londoners are also guilty of this behavior.

On Christmas Eve 2018, one of the most popular last-minute gifts was an electric toothbrush, along with hair stylers and beard trimmers.
