One taken to hospital after crash which shut road for two hours near Llanelli

One casualty was taken to hospital following a M4 crash that left part of the stretch near Llanelli closed for more than two hours.

The two-vehicle pile-up happened along the slip road at Junction 48 Hendy on Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene in the wake of the accident.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 9pm last night, Tuesday August 10, 2021, to a two vehicle road traffic collision on the slip road at the M4 junction 48 at Hendy.

“One person taken to hospital by ambulance. The road was closed and reopened at 11.15pm.”

The force added: “Thank you for your patience whilst we dealt with this.”
