One area of St Helens has been named Merseyside's sexiest town, according to research and a newly created 'sex map.'
According to the new study, the St Helens town’s 22,114 residents have spent "more on their sexual pleasure in the last year" than anywhere else in the region.
Sexual wellness brand, Lovehoney, has ranked all the main locations in Merseyside to discover where sexual activity is highest in the interactive 2021 UK Sex Map.

And research has now revealed Newton-Le-Willows to have had the "biggest rise in sexual activity" in the last 12 months in comparison to other parts of our city region.
The town was ranked as 47th in the UK table of 1,400 locations, with Andover in Hampshire being ranked at the number one spot.
Across Merseyside, Birkenhead was ranked as 221st, with Knowsley at 476th, Wallasey (566th), Liverpool (759th), Bootle (883rd), St Helens (924th), Neston (956th), Wirral (1,018th), and Prenton (1,154th).
The figures are based on Lovehoney's - the UK’s biggest sex toy retailer - extensive data on the UK’s sexual behaviour.

A Lovehoney spokesperson said: "Newton-Le-Willows is Merseyside’s sexiest place with the biggest rise in sexual activity in the last year.
"We have seen a surge in activity in the county as singles and couples look to escape the pressures of the pandemic by experimenting more sexually.
"All our research shows that couples with great sex lives enjoy higher overall levels of happiness."
In April, the Bath-based firm received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for boosting UK exports.
