One smart better could win $10,000 after picking Joe Burrow to win the Heisman Trophy

This was quite the prescient Heisman Trophy bet by a college football fan, and it could pay of handsomely.

Joe Burrow has already thrown 29 touchdowns and just three interceptions for LSU this season, tossing more than three scores in all but one of his games this season as the Tigers continue to thrive.

That’s put him at the top of many Heisman Trophy odds lists, which means he no longer provides betting value.

But as I teased at the top, there’s one bettor who took a chance on Burrow with $50 at 200/1, which could mean he’s on his way to winning a cool $10,000. This was a tweet from last month:

Obviously, the sportsbook would try to cover its losses by buying out that wager, but if I were the bettor, I’d hedge a little money with a few other candidates. However, the offer from the book keeps going up:

only concern with that is they may not make an offer. they gave me no offer during bye week or week of florida game. they’ve even lowered it a few times. like last week the offer was just under $1100.
