Alex Jones has announced she has given birth to a baby daughter.
The BBC star revealed she had been taken into hospital early on Saturday morning to be monitored.
The 44-year-old is already a mum to sons Ted and Kit - and she has now confirmed the birth of her third child as she shared the first pictures of her 'beautiful' new-born on Instagram.

She said: "We have some news.........Our beautiful daughter came safely into the world on Saturday afternoon 21.08.21. Tiny, but perfectly formed we are all beyond happy and besotted by her, especially Ted and Kit.
"Watching them with their brand new little sister is just the best and we can't believe how lucky we are to have the 3 of them and to be a family of 5. It still doesn't feel real!!!"
Alex announced she was expecting a child in March 2021 and has been on maternity leave from The One Show since August.
The mum of three sent her thanks to the hospital staff who helped deliver her baby and said her and husband Charlie Thomson are still deciding on a name.
She said: "Thank you to everyone at the Queen Charlotte hospital for all your support again, especially super midwife Audrey. ?? Name will be incoming soon xx"
The joyous news has been welcomed by Alex's celebrity friends and followers.
One Show co-host Jermaine Jenas said: "Congratulations to you both amazing news"
Presenter Angellica Bell added: "Congratulations to you all. You are an amazing woman!"
Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins said: " Wonderful news, big congratulations!! Much love."
