One Scouser has brilliantly trolled the Tories from beyond the grave

Liverpool is well known as a fiercely political place and for a long time now the city's people have had very little time for the actions and policies of the Conservative Party.

Over the past decade the city has been hit by relentless austerity cuts that have had a huge impact on public services and people's lives.

And Scousers are often seen campaigning and protesting against the decisions that they believe are hurting the city and its people.

But one woman has taken a rather unique swipe at the Tories - from beyond the grave.

In a quiet corner of Sefton Park in south Liverpool, there is a special memorial bench.

The bench is dedicated to the life of a woman named Alexandra Bentley.

And Alexandra has left a brilliant message on it for those who pass or sit on it - which shows exactly what she thought of the policies of the Conservative Party.

The message is written in the form of a poem and reads:

In Memory of Alexandra Bentley

Sit here and admire the view,

There are some who wouldn't want you to,

Such as Jeremy Hunt and Theresa May,

But don't worry I'm haunting them every day.

Besides her obvious sense of humour and dislike for the Tories, we don't currently know a lot about Alexandra, if anyone would like to get in touch to tell us her story and the story of her bench, please email liam.thorp@reachplc.com
