After a surprisingly long break, One Piece is back with the Elbaph Arc, which sees Luffy and the Straw Hats embarking on a journey to the fabled land of the giants.
We're somehow over 1150 episodes in, however, and the small matter of trying to figure out when new One Piece episodes are dropping hasn't gotten any easier. In fact, it's complicated more by Netflix and Crunchyroll holding the streaming rights, depending on where you're watching from.
Below, we will guide you through choppy waters with a One Piece episode 1156 release date, streaming time, a look ahead to the long-running anime's new release schedule plans, and more.

One Piece episode 1156 release date: what time is the Elbaph Arc premiering on Crunchyroll and Netflix?

One Piece episode 1156 premieres on Crunchyroll on April 5, 2026 at 7:15 AM Pacific/10:15 AM Eastern. That's 3:15 PM BST in the UK.
The Elbaph Arc premiere will also be available on Netflix a week later in some regions, from April 11, 2026.
One Piece Elbaph Arc release schedule: when are new episodes out?

New One Piece episodes will release every Sunday on Crunchyroll, then the following Saturday on Netflix.
One Piece, though, is slowing down considerably in 2026. It's reverting to a schedule of 26 episodes per year, down from the usual total of around 40 or 50 episodes.
That move has been done to allow the manga further time to stretch ahead, as well as fix any pacing issues.
Where to watch One Piece
