One person taken to hospital following three vehicle crash in Alnwick

One person has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle smash in Alnwick.

Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm on Tuesday following a collision involving three vehicles on Victoria Crescent, Alnwick.

Northumbria Police were still at the scene at around 5pm while the North East Ambulance Service dispatched three ambulance crews. The ambulance service confirmed one person was taken to the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH) in Cramlington for further treatment.

At the time, a Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Shortly before 2.30pm today we received a report of a three vehicle collision on Victoria Street, Alnwick. Emergency services remain at the scene at this time.”

A North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 2.26pm to reports of a road traffic incident on Victoria Crescent in Alnwick.

"We dispatched three ambulance crews, and transported one patient to the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH) for further treatment.”
