One person has been rushed to hospital after a lorry overturned on the M5 this morning.

The lorry overturned near junction 20 for Clevedon and resulted in two northbound lanes of the motorway being closed.

Emergency services are currently trying to remove the lorry from the motorway but recovery could take hours.

But they say due to the size of he lorry and it's cargo, that could take some time and the operation to take until lunchtime at least.

It came after a night of heavy rain which led to flooding on the M5 between junction 19 for Portishead and junction 20 for Clevedon.
