One person taken to hospital after large fight breaks out at pub following 'funeral gathering'

One person has been taken to hospital after a large fight broke out outside a pub in Tameside.

Police were called to a disturbance outside the Albion Pub on Jeffreys Drive in Dukinfield on Wednesday night.

It is believed a funeral gathering had been taking place inside the pub when the fight occured.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Footage seen by the Manchester Evening News appears to show a large group of people gathered in the middle of the road.

There appears to be at least one person laying down in the road.

On Wednesday evening, a Crime Scene Investigation vehicle could be seen parked up outside the public house.

The pub remained open to the public following the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at 17.20pm to a disturbance on Jeffrey's Road in Dukinfield.

"One person was injured and has been taken to hospital. 

"Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
