One person taken to hospital after car ends up on roof in supermarket car park

One person has been taken to hospital after a car ended up on its roof in a supermarket car park in Cardiff .

South Wales Fire and Rescue said they were called to Ashbourn Way in Llanishen at around 10.20am to reporters of a three-vehicle road traffic collison.

A spokeswoman said: "We mobilised fire appliances with crews from Whitchurch and one person received treatment from paramedics at the scene and was taken to hospital."

A cordon was put in place in the car park of the Morrison's store while crews attended the scene.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said the patient has now been taken to the University Hospital of Wales .

A spokesman said: "We were called on Monday 3 June at approximately 10:19am to reports of a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles in Llanishen.

"We responded with one ambulance and one patient was transported by ambulance to University Hospital Of Wales in Cardiff.”

Details of the casualty's age and sex have not yet been disclosed.

South Wales Police has also been asked to comment.
