Man in 'serious condition' after crash in Nottingham city centre

A 45-year-old man is in a 'serious condition' in hospital after a crash in Nottingham city centre.

Forest Road East was closed between Mansfield Road and Waverley Street, near the Arboretum, after the incident on Tuesday evening (May 26).

Officers were called to the scene at around 8.45pm to a report that a car had collided with railings off Forest Road East at the junction with Balmoral Road.

The road has reopened and the man was taken to hospital. It’s believed he suffered a medical episode.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Wednesday morning that there'd been no arrests in connection with the incident.
