One person seriously injured while five others 'walking wounded' after horror smash in Moray

One person has been seriously injured while five others were "walking wounded" after a two-vehicle horror smash in Moray.

Emergency services descended on the A98 in Rannachy, near Buckie, after reports of the crash at around 3.15pm on Boxing Day.

Officers shut off much of the road while ambulance crews attended to those injured in the incident.

One of the people was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness .

The other five were taken by road ambulance to Dr Gray's in Elgin .

Police have described their condition as "walking wounded".

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “Emergency services are still at the scene with a diversion in place.

"The road is still closed and could be for some time."
