One more person has died in hospital in Greater Manchester after contracting coronavirus.
The patient died at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust on Friday.
It takes the death toll from the virus in our region's hospitals to 5,905.
Each day the NHS in England publishes the number of deaths recorded by each hospital trust in the last 24-hour period.
These are deaths where the person had tested positive for the virus or where COVID-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.
NHS England's daily figures sometimes include previously uncounted deaths that took place several days - or even weeks ago.
They do not include deaths in care homes or community settings.
There were three deaths recorded across the country today (Monday).
The sad death of the patient in Wigan was the only recorded in the north west with the other two being recorded in the Midlands and East of England.
The NHS said their families had been informed.
