Art aficionados Recoat and Belgian beer Heverlee have joined forces to offer people in Glasgow the chance to take a guided tour of the city’s street art scene.
The east end tour will reveal the secrets about the city’s most iconic murals and let people spray-paint their own 'masterpiece' - with a pint of Heverlee to wrap up the tour at The Gate in Gallowgate to make sure no-one goes thirsty.
Taking place next week (Saturday November 9), the specially-curated tour will take guests to street art spots around the Gallowgate, Barras and Merchant City, with Recoat dissecting the pieces they personally worked on.
Tour goers will also make their own mark on Glasgow’s underground art scene in secret hideaway Tontine Lane - and will be mass-collaborating on a new mural designed by Recoat, which will be gifted and revealed at a local bar after the tour is complete.
Angus Lawrie at Heverlee said: “Belgium is a street art capital as well as the beer capital of Europe, but Glasgow’s definitely catching up. Heverlee has been a living, breathing part of Glasgow’s street art scene and we’re celebrating that with this special tour.
“Taking art-lovers and beer fans on a tour of the iconic murals of the city’s east end and giving them a real taste of Belgium at the same time is a great way for us to bring these two cultures together”.
