Ryan Conbeer is being tipped for a breakthrough year at the Scarlets next season by the England coach who helped stop him starring on the international stage with Wales Under-20s.
Richard Whiffin will become part of the new-look Scarlets coaching team leaving his job with Gloucester to join Brad Mooar and fellow assistants Ioan Cunningham, Glenn Delaney and Dai Flanagan in west Wales.
Cardiff-based Whiffin is currently away at the Junior World Cup in Argentina in his role as attack coach of England U20s.
He will swap nurturing some of England's up-and-coming rugby talent for working with seasoned Welsh internationals like Ken Owens, Leigh Halfpenny, Jonathan Davies and Gareth Davies.

But it's helping polish the 20-year-old jewel that is Conbeer that gives Whiffin as much excitement ahead of taking up his role at the Parc y Scarlets.
The Saundersfoot-born try-scorer has been used sparingly by the Scarlets to date but Whiffin is predicting a big 2019-20 season ahead for Conbeer despite the back division riches the region have at their disposal.
He told The Rugby Paper: "Ryan is a massive talent and has the potential to be a top-end player.
"I've coached against him on many occasions at U20 level and he's always a guy we've identified as one of Wales' biggest threats. He's very fast, a great finisher and he's also very strong in the contact area.
"He is going to have a lot of competition, but he's a player who could really make his mark next season.
"Corey Baldwin is another fantastic prospect while Dan Davis proved how good is he is last season.

"Dan Jones is also a player who can get better and I'm excited to help these young lads get to the next level.
"There is a huge amount of potential in this Scarlets team and the first choice side is mouth-watering - but I'm also excited about the talent coming through.
"The strength of their academy system was one of the things that really appealed to me about the Scarlets."
