One of the UK's soft drinks firms launches its first canned spring water range

One of the UK’s leading soft drinks manufacturers, Radnor Hills, is launching a new canned spring water range.

The company, based in Knighton in Powys, has invested  £3.5m in a new 100% recyclable aluminium canning line.

The line is capable of filling still, sparkling and infused products with a direct feed from their bore holes.

William Watkins, owner and managing director of Radnor Hills, said: “Installing our first ever canning line has been an exciting new adventure for us as a business, and we are so pleased to be able to offer our customers yet another format for their spring water and other products.”

The business was founded in 1990 by fifth generation farmer Mr Watkins and produces a million bottles of soft drinks daily.

Employing 170 people it generates annual sales of £44m.

Earlier this is was ranked 49th in the annual Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 and was identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

It also recently launched its first online shop.
