One of the biggest PC hits of the last few years is FINALLY launching on Xbox — get into the factory-building action

Satisfactory, the award-winning first-person open-world factory building game from Coffee Stain Studios, blew up when it released on PC in 2024 after five years in Early Access. Now, console players can finally get into the action.

Coffee Stain Studios partnered with Fishlabs to bring Satisfactory to console — and it's available today.

Satisfactory can be played solo or with friends, with players becoming employees of FICSIT who have been tasked with putting the valuable resources of an alien planet to good use. That simple task can lead to chaos as players construct massive automated factories that sprawl across the planet.

The massive planet of Massage-2(AB)b is alive with unique flora and fauna, with plenty of unique biomes for players to explore as they hunt for valuable resources.

Factories can be built on the highest mountain peaks and all the way to the lowest of the plains, and all the areas in between with pinpoint precision, or you can just absolutely eyeball it and hope for the best. Automation is the idea behind Satisfactory, and players are encouraged to use everything at their disposal to craft intricate conveyor belt pathways to collect and move resources around.

With the console release of Satisfactory, console players can look forward to support for Xbox-specific features such as Quick Resume and cloud saves.

Satisfactory will support cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation players at launch, though it seems like cross-play between console and PC players is not a part of the console launch plan. Satisfactory is also not an Xbox Play Anywhere title, nor is it available for Xbox on PC.

However, Coffee Stain Studios has said that players can expect cross-platform save support between Xbox and PlayStation.

The console release of Satisfactory will also support three performance presets on console: Quality mode with 30fps, Balanced mode at 40fps, and Performance mode at 60fps.

Coffee Stain Studios has already begun work on Update 1.2 for Satisfactory, so the game will continue to receive support following launch, with additional announcements to come.

Satisfactory is available now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The breakout success previously won PC Game of the Year at the 2024 Golden Joysticks Awards and held a 91 on Metacritic. On Steam, Satisfactory currently sits at an Overwhelmingly Positive with more than 122,000 reviews.
