'One of the best in the division' - Bristol City star tipped for Premier League move alongside Aston Villa and Swansea City attackers

Adam Webster should be on the radar of Premier League clubs.

That is according to the Guardian, who have listed the Bristol City defender among 10 Championship players that could thrive in the Premier League.

The centre-back has had a stand-out season following his move from Ipswich Town last summer, and the newspaper described him as being one of the best in the Championship - also arguing that Robins teammate Josh Brownhill and Callum O'Dowda could find themselves in the Premier League soon too.

They wrote: "Since arriving from Ipswich for £3.5m, Webster, 24, has established himself as one of the best defenders in the division.

"A savvy modern-day centre-back and serene in possession, Webster oozes class. Has also been utilised in midfield in a 4-2-2-2 formation.

"There is seemingly more to come from Josh Brownhill and Callum O’Dowda, too."

Whether the Robins can afford to lose Webster is another matter.

Leeds United could have free run on League Two star despite Bristol City's interest

The club are currently short on centre-backs following the end of Tomas Kalas' loan spell from Chelsea and, whilst they would like to keep the Czech international, there are a number of other clubs interested in him - and they find themselves in a similar position with left-back Jay Dasilva.

With Lloyd Kelly departing for Bournemouth on Saturday, any interest in Webster could leave Robins boss Lee Johnson facing a defensive rebuild.

Also on the list is Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, Swansea City's Daniel James, Hull City's Jarrod Bowen, Brentford trio Ezri Konsa, Said Benrahma and Neal Maupay, Danny Loader from Reading, Luca Connell from Bolton and Birmingham City's Che Adams.
