One of Scotland's 'messiest homes' on sale for £125k - but it's on tiny stunning island

A four-bedroom house on one of Scotland's most beautiful islands for just £125k? What a find.

However, the latest island property to hit the market may leave prospective buyers baffled after it was listed with images showing that its piled high with mess and rubbish.

Pros? North Uist is an island covered in lochs and has some breathtaking sandy beaches.

Cons? Well, the pictures of the house speak for themselves really.

The bungalow - which looks like it should be on an episode of How Clean is Your House? - is set to go up for under the hammer auction and has a guide price of £125,000.

Photos of inside the house shows all four of the island property's bedrooms piled high with clutter - with the mess continuing into both the living room and kitchen.

Clutter can also be seen littered across the property's hallways and the beds are covered with laundry and mess.

There is also junk in the garden and by the shed on the property - so the property's outside space will also need a hand converting back to its former glory.

Despite its current neglect, the fixer-upper house has bags of potential and even sits on a croft which is 41.2 acres.

The property is on the market with estate agent National Property Auctions and also appears on selling website Zoopla.

The listing reads: "We are delighted to offer to auction this assignation of croft tenancy, complete with a four bedroom detached bungalow, enjoying idyllic location in the scattered rural settlement of Sponish on the outskirts of the village of Lochmaddy, North Uist.

"The bungalow offers spacious accommodation comprising lounge, kitchen/diner, four bedrooms, wet room and rear entrance porch.

"With the croft extending to approximately 16.7 hectares (41.2 acres) including areas of forestry, peat production and with borders onto Loch na Buaile and a number of other bodies of water offering the possibility of seaweed harvesting.

"Further benefits include oil fired heating system, double glazing, a block built store/workshop, small polytunnel/greenhouse and solar panel installation.

"The picturesque rural location and potential future development options is sure to attract strong demand, and early expression of interest is recommended."
