Azriel Clary’s boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with singer R. Kelly drove a well-documented wedge between her and her family, but a photo posted to social media Monday seems to indicate a reconciliation has occurred.
The photo shows Clary, 22, joyously dancing with family members — all of whom are dressed in blue jeans and white T-shirts.
An accompanying message on the Instagram post reads:
“Surprise Let the healing process begin. Love yall and thank y’all ❤️ I even thank everyone who follows me.. because you all believed in me when I could not believe for myself. #movingontobetterdays
P.S - everyone will be posting there own fav photos so make sure y’all follow the family! #ontherunwithazriel”
The photo was posted four days after Clary accused Kelly’s other girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, 24, of attacking her in Kelly’s condo on the 48th floor of Trump Tower, where both women have lived.
Savage turned herself into police Wednesday — on Kelly’s 53rd birthday — and has pleaded not guilty to domestic battery. Her bail was set at $2,000, and she was scheduled to return to court Feb. 6.
Kelly remains held without bail at the Metropolitan Correctional Center downtown while he faces a litany of criminal charges in four jurisdictions in three states.
The estrangement of both Clary and Savage from their families was documented in Lifetime’s docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly.’
