One of Britain’s most wanted fugitives arrested in Spain

John Rocks, 37, one of Britain's most wanted fugitives , has been arrested in Madrid over alleged sexual assaults committed between 2012 and 2022.
He was detained by the Spanish National Police on Saturday following an investigation launched by police in Scotland in 2024.
An international warrant for Rocks' arrest was issued in February, and he was found to be concealing his identity and living a "nomadic life".
Police initially searched for him in Benidorm before further evidence led them to Madrid, where a surveillance operation resulted in his arrest.
Rocks is currently held in a Spanish prison pending extradition and his arrest marks the 101st in Operation Captura, a multi-agency campaign targeting UK fugitives in Spain.
