One of Bristol’s biggest festivals announces when tickets will be on sale for its 2021 event

One of Bristol’s biggest festivals has announced it is going ahead this year - with tickets going on sale in just under two weeks.

Tokyo World has taken to Instagram to say it will be releasing tickets for this year’s event on March 8, the same day as some lockdown restrictions are being eased.

The festival is set to take place in its usual location of Eastville Park from September 18-19.

A post uploaded to Instagram by the festival says: “Tickets will go on sale Monday March 8 at 8am.

“We can hardly wait to share details for what promises to be a very special reunion.

“September 18-19 at Eastville Park Bristol.”

According to the Tokyo World website, single day tickets start at £54.45 with weekend tickets starting at £92.95. There is also the option to buy group tickets.

And for fans of the legendary Tokyo World after party, it’s also good news as organisers say that will also be going ahead, with details yet to be confirmed.

It’s not yet been announced who will be headlining the festival, although the website states it’s lineup is going to be ‘absolutely huge’.

“We can hardly wait to reveal next year’s programme. Get excited and watch this space.

“We will be adding artists to an already amazing programme for 2021 and bringing the announcement date forward following our postponement.

“Details will be shared very soon and it’s absolutely huge," they said.

It comes as the festival had to cancel its event last year due to coronavirus restrictions.

But it looks like festivals towards the end of the summer will be able to take place, following the dates set out in the government’s roadmap to lifting lockdown restrictions.

The Prime Minister states he hopes to lift all Covid measures by the end of June.
