Chef Worawat "Wat" Thonglor, executive chef of Chakrabongse Villas, will team up with Chef Rosarin "Rin" Sripathum, executive chef of Celadon Thai restaurant at TheSukhothai Bangkok, to create a four-hand exclusive dinner next Friday.
The one-night-only event will see Wat cook the amuse bouche and main course, while Rin will serve a main course and take over the dessert course -- a total of eight-courses to indulge in. Expect Rin's traditional lotus stems in coconut soup, Japanese cockles and onion paste seashell and grilled river prawns, salted baby shrimps cooked in fresh coconut milk, while Wat will present Khong Waang Chakrabongse and deep-fried sea bass with fresh aromatic herbs.
The dinner will offer palate pleasers and breathtaking views of the glistening spires of the Temple of Dawn, aka Wat Arun, floating above the Chao Praya River. Chakrabongse House is a 19th century royal property, surrounded by lush gardens along the banks of the river. Celadon serves an authentic palette of flavours and spices in beautiful presentations on terraces surrounded by picturesque lotus ponds.
Celadon Restaurant pop-up at Chakrabongse Villas, cost is 3,500++ baht for food only and 5,500++ with wine pairing. Call 080-045-7778 or 089-810-0498, email fb@chakrabongse.com or reservation@chakrabongse.com.
