One new Covid case each from Chandrapur, Gadchiroli; only 2 recoveries on Thursday

NAGPUR: Only Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts reported one case each in the region on Thursday. The new cases increased Vidarbha’s active case tally to 26.

Over 2,400 tests were performed in the region in the last 24 hours. Two recoveries were reported from Amravati district during the day.

This month, 42 new cases have been reported so far while there have been 49 recoveries and no deaths. The active case rate is down to 0.002% while recovery rate has improved to 98.35%.

Amravati: No new case emerged from 226 samples tested, but there were two recoveries that took the total to 1,04,326 on Wednesday. The number of active cases came down to three.

Yavatmal: The district reported no new cases keeping it Covid-free for the 28th consecutive day. The toll so far is 1,803. The administration received 176 reports. The caseload is 79,065 so far. The test positivity rate is 9.25% and case fatality rate is 2.28%.

Wardha: No new Covid case was reported from 104 samples on Thursday, while the caseload, recoveries and toll remained unchanged at 58,110, 57,147 and 1,351 respectively. District was Covid-free as on Thursday.

Chandrapur: The district lost Covid-free status after a week following the detection of one case on Thursday after conducting 415 tests during the last 24 hours. The new case was detected at Nagbhid in the district. The caseload increased to 98,961, while recoveries stand unchanged at 97,393. The toll so far is 1,567. Now, one patient is under treatment.
