One man suffers life-changing injuries while two others in serious condition following crash in Tameside

One man suffered life-changing injuries while two others were seriously injured following a crash in Tameside.

Officers were called to Shepley Road, Audenshaw on Wednesday night following reports of a smash.

A blue Kia Ceed and a blue Renault Megane collided at around 10.20pm.

In the Kia, a man in his 30s suffered potentially life-changing injuries and a woman in her 60s suffered serious injuries.

A man from the Renault Megane also suffered serious injuries.

A woman from the same vehicle suffered minor injuries.

All of the patients remain in hospital, a spokesman for GMP said.

PC Oliver Batty, from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This was a serious collision.

"Our thoughts remain with those injured and their families who are understandably worried.

"An investigation is currently underway and we're now asking for anyone who may have seen anything to come forward."
