One lucky Irish punter is waking up €500,000 richer after scooping the top prize in Friday night's Euromillions Plus draw.
The Donegal ticketholder bought their golden ticket in the Paper Stop shop on the Main Street in the Glenties, a village with a population of about 800 people.
The store owner William Elliott said: “I was shocked to get the call last night as it’s the first major National Lottery prize we’ve ever sold in recent times.

"We’ve been spreading the word to our customers to check their tickets and there is a great buzz in the village all morning.
"It’s a great little village and obviously with us being on the Main Street we have a lot of local customers so we really hope that it is one of our regulars but in truth we have no idea who the winner could be but I wish them all the best."
Meanwhile, another Dublin EuroMillions player matched five numbers on last night’s main EuroMillions draw and won themselves a cool €199,617 prize.
The Dubliner bought their ticket at the Lidl store on the Greenhills Road, Walkinstown in Dublin 12.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “It is some fantastic news to wake up to on this windy April morning.
"We are advising all our Donegal and Dublin players to carefully check their EuroMillions tickets and if you do happen to be one of those two lucky ticketholders, be sure to sign the back of the ticket, keep this valuable piece of paper safe and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to come to the National Lottery to get your prize”.
